Insurance Personal Lines Account Manager

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently assisting a local East Amherst, NY Insurance agency in recruiting for a Personal Lines Account Manager.

Position Summary: Receives and processes customer requests for coverage, claims, billing and other demands from clients and company representatives. Consults with existing clients to expedite required documentation to solve problems or accomplish goals in a timely manner by performing the following duties. Assist in production of new accounts and retention of existing accounts.

 

Responsibilities

·         Receives customer inquiries and complaints via telephone, mail, e-mail or walk-in.

·          Processes customer information as quickly as possible to enhance the agency’s image with the customer. Renewals, endorsements, cancels processed within 5 days of receipt., etc.

 

·         Analyzes customer accounts and makes any corrections and/or modifications to the file.* This would include educating the insured on coverage gaps

 

·          Applies knowledge about the insurance products and services to best meet customer needs, to have the insured avoid gaps in his coverage

 

·          Traces and expedites late orders to maintain the agency’s image with the customer.*

 

·          Reviews renewal policies for accuracy, recommends changes or improvements to the total account and suggests or offers additional coverage’s, products or remarket as needed, processing within 5 days of receipt.*

 

·          Processes applications and other required forms for submission on all new clients or transfer policies for existing clients.* Applications should be uploaded while the client is in the office, so as to avoid any change in premium or denial in coverage

 

·          Issues binders and certificates as well as changes requests and all required forms for clients and companies.*

 

·          Completes claim reports and follows up on open claims as needed.*

 

·          Completes questionnaires for new accounts or policies, rate coverage’s or policies and verifies underwriting eligibility.*

 

·          Maintains AMS360 in an orderly and accessible manner with client contact sheets, lists of insurance and claim history records.*

 

·          Review existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal

 

·         . Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and automation system.

 

·          Scans and files documents pertinent to the clients file.* This is only if urgent. Balance of scanning should be done by the receptionist.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following, other accountabilities may be added.

 All renewals are process within 5 days of receipt

 Review LPR’s within 24 hours and contact client

 Minimum 5 touches per week to account round, cross sell and upsell

 Round and cross sell every call

 

Qualifications:

License/Experience:

NYS Property & Casualty License.  Minimum 1-2 years experience.
