A leading company in the healthcare marketing industry is currently expanding and looking for an Account Manager  based in the Parsippany, NJ area.  The individual in this position is accountable for providing sales and administrative support to assigned Account Executives (AE), ensuring that client projects are planned, coordinated with internal departments and external parties, and tracked such that all parties are continuously informed and the client receives quality services and products.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Account Manager (AM) works with AEs, and independently, and with all necessary departments to initiate, organize and coordinate client projects. 

 

§         Manages all aspects of project deliverables, including developing and modifying project scope, coordinating the project schedule, and developing project team resources (both internal and external). 

 

§         Attends and/or conducts project turnover meetings (with or without the AE) to inform internal teams and external groups on client requirements.  Attends sales and project meetings, takes notes and coordinates follow-through.

 

§         Provides various project management support activities.  For example:  In the trade show/exhibit industry, the AM initiates and writes work orders, initiates estimate requests, requests detailed drawings from Engineering for client approval and/or show service needs, requests and delivers trade show information and regulations to the Design team as required.

 

§         In the pharmaceutical industry, the AM supports training initiatives, including launch meetings; sales rep training;  plan of action training meetings and workshops; preparation of print and e-training modules; production, including website development, videos and virtual preceptorships; medical education, including advisory boards, and promotional medical slide development; and development of marketing materials, including collateral physician and patient materials.

 

§         Maintains and updates all job files, such as schedules, design requests, estimates, work orders, back-up information, floor plans/blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, training plan documents and collateral project materials.

 

§         Works directly with clients, attends client meetings in person and via telecommunication, and ensures interim project deliverables are communicated and approved by the client.  Works with clients’ executives and managers (i.e., brand, project and training) to ensure understanding of goals and strategic imperatives.

 

§         Provides quality control checks throughout the project.  Maintains, specifies and updates all graphic information as required for client, ensuring quality graphic design, IT, and other technical client requirements are met.

 

§         Assists AE with client presentations and business development duties (i.e., cold calls). 

 

§          Contributes to the development of, and implements, policies related to account management.

 

§         Supports other North American cities with general sale presentations, representing the company as a leading solution provider and marketing partner.

 

§         Participates in exhibiting at industry trade shows as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 

Education, Licenses and Experience:

 

§         Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a business-related field preferred;

§         Minimum of 3 years proven related experience in the trade show/exhibit industry, or the pharmaceutical or medical education industry. 

§         Demonstrated experience working with design groups and/or training technology.

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

 

§         Demonstrated capability at managing and coordinating projects in relevant industries.

 

§         Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and groups contributing to them, ensuring that schedules are maintained and the quality of the deliverables meet customer expectations.

 

§         Ability to energize teammates, build consensus and communicate strategic concepts and expectations.

 

§         Writing, verbal and presentation skills, as well as interpersonal skills, to be able to effectively communicate with executives and other levels of employees internally and with clients.

 

§         PC skills to successfully perform the planning and reporting responsibilities of the position.

 

§         Demonstrated skill at being pro-active, detail and goal-oriented, customer-focused and responsive to multiple simultaneous occurring projects or activities.
