The Channel System Engineer will focus specifically on working with VAR and integrator partners throughout the Southeastern region of the U.S. In this role you will provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. You will work closely with the sales team to help assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. You will have the opportunity to solve all technical objections during the sales process. The Channel System Engineer will focus on all related pre-sales activities include technical conference calls and web-based product presentations, deployment design, and technical solutions in support of the Channel Manager. In this role you will be responsible for building relationships with the technical and sales teams of partners, delivering technical enablement activities, etc. and ensuring the partner list understands the entire suite of company offerings.
5-7+ years of pre-sales experience with working knowledge of products in the network/internet/web security industry.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Understanding of network design, network management, packet level trouble shooting, protocol knowledge
Network skills include routing technologies, layer-4 technologies, WCCP & high availability/fault tolerant design.
Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems
