Art Director

Look, we’re extremely busy and getting busier by the second, so we’ll make this quick: we need you. If, that is, you are a talented art director who’s been honing your craft for the past 2-5 years. And if you’re as passionate about big ideas as you are in learning new ways to bring those ideas to life. We also need you to be as in tune with the latest digital technologies as you are with the latest design trends. What’s in it for you? For starters, you’ll get the chance to build your portfolio with an incredible variety of clients, from B2B to consumer. Working in every medium imaginable, from the large screen to the mobile one, print to augmented reality, and just about everything in between. And you’ll be doing it in the agency Ad Age recently named one of the Top 5 places to work. Come find out why. But make it quick, because we really do need your help.

What will you do here?

  • Develop killer concepts for a fun mix of B2B and B2C clients
  • Design for a diverse range of media, from the traditional – print, direct mail, tradeshows, TV – to all things digital, including websites, email campaigns, banner ads, mobile sites, apps, social media experiences, and whatever else is just over the horizon
  • Think through and create engaging digital experiences
  • Juggle multiple projects, and manage time and skills with an “I am willing to learn what I don't know” attitude
  • Apply rock solid skills in UX design, with an eye for intuitive functionality, ease of use, and integrating appropriate UX conventions
  • Be curious about new digital technologies and make the effort to get hands-on experience in them

You must have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in art direction and design
  • An absolute passion for your craft, as witnessed in your portfolio (which should display a proven, deep understanding of website design, usability and functionality, as well as strong digital marketing design)
  • High level competence in the entire Adobe creative suite
  • Understanding of mobile web design and small screen variables
  • Strong understanding of the latest web technologies and their capabilities

And it’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Video experience
  • Experience / familiarity with integrating major 3rd party APIs (Facebook Open Graph, Twitter, Google Maps, YouTube, Open Social, etc…).
  • Experience / familiarity with one of the following: Drupal, Joomla, ModX, WordPress, Ektron (or similar).
  • Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3

EOE/minorities are encouraged to apply
