The Opportunity

Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant


Kforce has a fortune 500 clients that is seeking a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant in Englewood, Colorado (CO). The ideal candidates has exceptional communication and customer services skills. This position requires the ability to prioritize and handle a busy office and workload with a positive and can-do attitude.


  • Customer Service skills to include receiving and responding to all types of inquiries, relays messages, processes walk-ins, and retrieves files and documents upon request

  • Performs mail handling and distribution functions. Screens and responds to incoming mail to relay and clarify information

  • Ability to draft written discovery, Disclosures, Subpoenas, correspondence, and request needed discovery and authorizations from Claimant independently or at the direction of an attorney or manager

  • Heavy scheduling to include attorneys' calendars, including court, depositions, independent medical evaluations, and other file-related appearances, appointments, internal and external meetings. Schedules and coordinates tasks for attorneys and monitors the progress of those activities

  • Trial preparation to include witness notebooks, exhibits, and demonstrative evidence

  • Collection of medical records, police reports, photographs and other relevant case documents

  • Initiates and conducts investigation and discovery under limited supervision. Communicates with and conducts interviews of insureds, company representatives and witnesses

  • Maintains and manages confidential file materials. Reviews all documents containing scheduled dates and updates calendars, and is familiar with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Uses and is familiar with the Colorado court efiling systems to efile legal documents to include ICCES, Lexis File & Serve, and Pacer

  • Ability to quickly learn and use the company case management system to create and maintain electronic files

Desired skills:

  • Proficient at Outlook, Word, and Adobe - knowledge with Legal Files is a highly desirable skill
