Outside Sales Manager

They provide thorough, quality service by promoting green energy solutions that suit each customer’s usage needs. Due to their rapid growth and success in the past year, they need an energetic Outside Sales Manager to help continue to grow in the Philadelphia market. 

This firm is committed to their clients, so they need a candidate who is interested in more than just selling to our customers. They need a culture fit who genuinely enjoys engaging with people and bringing them the best, most cutting-edge green energy services on the market. As an Outside Sales Manager, you will act as the face of our client’s brands. You will be responsible for building and managing an elite team of sales professionals as well as managing sales and branding for the firm’s products and services.

Responsibilities of the Outside Sales Manager:

  • Manage sales for residential clients and train new hires.
  • Assist in ongoing recruitment efforts to hire top sales talent.
  • Manage a team of Field Consultants, including performance management and professional development.
  • Provide constant training and development to Field Consultants to ensure top sales results.
  • Work with Field Consultants daily in the field and on appointments to help improve their sales pitches and close sales.
  • Maintain organized records of sales and track progress to ensure goals set by Director of Sales are exceeded.
  • Analyze the business to determine shortfalls and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings.


Requirements of the Outside Sales Manager:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in sales management required.
  • A positive and winning attitude with strong work ethic.
  • Outgoing personality with ability to enthusiastically engage customers and close sales.
  • Solid understanding of the green energy industry and markets an asset.
  • Experience managing and training a team an asset.
  • Additional experience in field sales, regional sales and territory development, telesales, residential or door to door sales, marketing and promotions, and other marketing or sales associated fields an asset.
