Purpose: This position is responsible for supervising CPU work cells in a fresh vegetable produce refrigerated environment. An individual in this position may be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary. This is a 2nd shift position 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm (can vary).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Facilitate shift start-up meetings.
Enforce the usage of all PPE, safety equipment, and devices and ensure safety compliance.
Facilitate line set-up and supply lines and leads with materials as needed.
Plan work flow for the next work week.
Direct the work of 25-45 hourly associates in cutting/packaging fresh vegetables.
Assist with lead guidance and advice about production needs and client concerns.
Handle hourly associate counseling, training and disciplinary action and documentation as needed.
Assist with the production estimation of pre-building the product.
Assist with the creation and communication of weekly work schedules.
Lift, handle and carry cartons up to 75 pounds occasionally.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a production environment and supervising leads and employees.
Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in the fresh cut business.
Production experience
FDA experience preferred/GMP experience preferred
3PL experience is highly desired
Experience managing compliance to customer KPI's in all functional areas
Must be able to read and understand instructions and identifying information and complete required paperwork.
Must be able to count to 100 and calculate the needed number of completed units. Must be able to count completed units and calculate number of units remaining.
Handle and process product in safe and correct manner. Unpack, count, process, and pack product in an accurate and timely manner. Notify management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the facility. Use product handling equipment and/or tools in a safe and correct manner. Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety compliance.
Use policies, procedures, and/or guides to make good choices. Use data and facts in order to make day-to-day decisions and involve others as needed. Recognize what might be a problem and inform those who can correct it.

This is a cold temperature environment (32 degrees consistently). No adjustments to temperature can be made.
