Description

Will provide day to day production engineering support for the Sulfuric Acid Regeneration Unit. Position primarily focus is on analyzing and resolving short term issues within the 24/7 unit to optimize equipment availability, unit operating efficiency and production mix. Develop and safely implement engineering projects within allocated budgets and time schedules. This includes resolving all personnel and process safety issues as well as contractor supervision. Utilizes knowledge of processes and equipment to monitor and drive plant performance indicators including overall equipment effectiveness, Sulfuric Unit Management Optimization compliance, raw material and energy usage and fixed cost spending. Improve the operating skills, technical knowledge, and working environment of the workforce. Will participate in PSM requirements such as HAZOP Reviews, Pre-Start up Safety Reviews, Incident Reporting and Management of Change. Qualifications

BS ChE or BSME

2 to 5+ years experience in a chemical engineering role. Preferred candidate will have experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, oil & gas or refining industry

Good problem solving skills

Ability to gather and interpret data and perform chemical engineering calculations

Ability to multi-task and demonstrate project management skills such as managing project schedules, cost control, etc.
