Only Citizens or Permanent Residents please Location: Headquarters Department: # of openings: 1 SUMMARY: Coordinate and manage engineering and reliability activities for the Manufacturing Department at the corporate office. Revise and establish engineering and reliability system and procedures necessary to meet business objectives. Set standards of performance and enforces compliance with company rules, policies and procedures. Monitor schedule, cost and implementation of projects assigned. 1. Corporate Manufacturing Department engineering and reliability expertise and review. Will be involved in large engineering and reliability efforts, resolution of plant repeat quality issues and significant equipment failure issues as required. Incumbent must be current and informed of technical changes and improvements 2. Direct the activities of all engineering project team members to ensure safe, efficient and effective cost control and project execution. 3. Develop corporate engineering and reliability plan to meet business needs. 4. Present engineering and reliability plans to corporate executive staff and others as required, and regularly communicate status utilizing established reporting tools and mechanisms to ensure all parties are up to date and current. 5. Establish personnel standards and training and developmental opportunities to identify plant engineers with potential for promotion. Work with supervisors and VP of Manufacturing to gain approval of engineer development plans. 6. Responsible for corporate engineering and reliability funds approval and budget compliance with appropriate justification as required. 7. Performs special projects as assigned and other coordination activities as required to ensure cost-effective operations 8. Depending on work load, may be assigned to lead and implement the completion plans for major projects, appraise the effectiveness of the plans and make adjustments as required. 9. Monitor and direct quality orientated and cost effective project procurement strategies, engineering services, contracting services, and constructing services for projects. 10. Operations facility support: will support chemical plant facilities during large unit outages, review and implement area efficiency processes, and larger scale facility performance improvement efforts. 11. Any and all other duties as assigned. Must have proven leadership experience and be able to effectively coordinate and manage personnel to ensure assignments are completed on time, on budget and per project scope. Must be an effective leader and communicator to plant personnel and ensure project sponsors are current on status and issues. Must be able to effectively deal with issues that arise throughout the project cycle and develop solutions to ensure successful project completion. B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required. MBA or additional education preferential. Five years chemical plant production/engineering/project experience with five years in progressive supervisory positions also required. Must be capable of leading large engineering efforts and reliability programs. Must possess strong interpersonal and management skills.Manager - Engineering and Reliability
